Through this program, participants will connect with business leaders, explore college and career opportunities, and build skills to become the future leaders of Georgia.
Our Mission
At Youth Lead Georgia, our goal is to equip high school students with the skills and knowledge they need to shape Georgia’s future. Graduates use their skills to address important challenges and drive positive change across the state.
How We Achieve This
In partnership with Chick-fil-A and UGA’s J.W. Fanning Institute, we focus on:
Enhancing Awareness
We deepen students’ understanding of community challenges and opportunities.
Developing Leadership Skills
We help students build essential leadership qualities, preparing them to lead with confidence.
Exploring Opportunities
We guide students in discovering and preparing for college and career paths after high school.
Building Relationships
We create a strong network of young leaders, connecting students with peers and mentors across Georgia.
Empowering Involvement
We encourage students to actively participate in and contribute to their communities.
Our Programming
Welcome Future Leaders into
Our House
Each year, we select 30-40 students through a nomination and application process to join our program. They will be invited to participate in a series of immersive experiences, including four weekend retreats, a summer bus tour, and a Youth Leadership Summit. These activities are crafted to build leadership skills, foster teamwork, and provide hands-on learning opportunities.
Thanks to the generous support of Chick-fil-A®, all selected students can participate free of charge, ensuring that financial barriers don’t limit access to these transformative experiences.
